FLOWPACK

The VR5 is a flow-pack machine with intermittent rotating jaws, a bottom reel system, and photocells for product position detection and control.

Thanks to its characteristics, it is suitable for packaging unsupported and difficult-to-handle products while maintaining a considerable packaging speed. It is particularly suitable for packaging unstable, irregularly shaped, heavy-weight products in a compact and uneven format.

The photocell system on the conveyor makes it possible to manage variable lengths in the same production batch.

It can be easily customized and adapted to the specific needs required by the packaging of each product.

All this makes it a versatile, high-performance, and highly customizable tool.

The VR5 works well with a wide range of packaging materials, including recyclables, biodegradable, compostable, and paper films that the market demands for environmental sustainability.

  • Five independent drive axes for a more versatile handling of formats.
  • Servo motor on the head-cutter  for precise movement at high speed.
  • No product No bag: avoids making empty bags, putting the machine on standby for the conveyor to deliver the product with immediate restart when available.
  • Automatic product spacing, properly separates products whether they are too close together or too far apart.
  • High resolution barrier type photocells allow precise identification of each product and its correct separation.
  • Stop in phase, prevents overheating of the film and possible subsequent deterioration of the welds in case of prolonged temporary stop.
  • Jaw filter for misaligned product, prevents the product from being caught by the sealing jaws.
  • Universal forming tunnel, to adapt to any format, allowing the width of the bag to be adjusted on demand.
  • Unwinding film system , facilitates dragging, achieving greater welding performance.
  • Expandable reel support, simplifies and speeds up the positioning of the film reels.
  • Control panel with colour touch screen, for quick and intuitive selection and change of formats (40 storable recipes).
  • Real time check, PLC diagnostics and malfunctions screens, for a quick diagnosis of the machine’s status.
  • Memorable temperatures for each recipe, facilitates and speeds up the change of formats.
  • Preventive maintenance warnings, to warn of the appropriate moment for an overhaul.
  • Speed can be memorised for each recipe, to facilitate format changeover.
  • Immediate jaw retraction in case of jamming, facilitates product evacuation and preserves the head mechanics.
  • Jaw release with push button, for precise and efficient resetting in the event of jamming.
  • Automatic sealing wheels opening, to make it easier to insert the film into the machine.

options

The VR5 can be customised with multiple accessories to increase efficiency based on customer needs and/or product requirements.

Some of the accessories are:

  • Photo-eye system for registered film, allowing the use of films printed with marks to centre the design on the product.
  • Stop no Film , stops the machine automatically if the film reel runs out.
  • Printers/Markers to print information such as batch number, production/expiration date or barcodes and images directly onto the film in real time.
  • Labellers, to print and apply labels on the finished pack or directly on the film before forming.
  • Accumulation rotary table, positioned at the exit of the flow-wrapper, receives the products already packaged to facilitate successive packaging operations.
  • Automatic loaders, customised for each circumstance and need.
  • Other peripherals: Weight controls before or after, Metal detectors, Selector counter, etc.
